All year long, pupils from Alsager and Brine Leas have been competing in a variety of sporting events to claim the prestigious ‘Cornovii Cup’. The final competition took place this week in a staff and pupil golf challenge. As you can see from the scoreboard, it has been hotly contested throughout the year. Hundreds of students from both schools have taken part and it has been a real success, with healthy competition and team spirit shown throughout. My thanks to all the young people and staff involved but especially to Mr Elliot (Brine Leas) and Mr Morris (Alsager), they were the driving forces behind it and without them, none of these events would have happened.
Alsager were crowned inaugural winners for 2023/24 and congratulations to them but I know Brine Leas will want to get their hands on the trophy when the competition starts again in September.
